Terms

  1. One-year health guarantee. The puppy is guaranteed for one year from the date of birth against life-threatening congenital and hereditary conditions, subject to the examination and documentation requirements below.
  2. Veterinary examination. The buyer agrees to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of going home. Failure to do so voids this guarantee.
  3. Documentation. Any claim must be supported by a written diagnosis from a licensed veterinarian, and where applicable a second opinion from a veterinarian of the breeder's choosing.
  4. Remedy. Where a claim is accepted, the remedy is a replacement puppy of comparable quality from a current or future litter. This agreement does not cover veterinary costs.
  5. Exclusions. The guarantee does not cover conditions arising from injury, accident, neglect, improper diet, hypoglycaemia, parasites, communicable disease, or conditions caused or worsened after the puppy leaves our care.
  6. Preventive care. The buyer agrees to keep the puppy on an appropriate vaccination and preventive care schedule.
  7. Pet home, limited registration. The puppy is sold as a companion on limited registration. No breeding rights are conveyed and the puppy may not be bred.
  8. Return clause. If the buyer can no longer keep the dog at any point in its life, the dog is to be returned to Montana Yorkie. The dog may not be rehomed, sold, surrendered to a shelter or given away without the breeder's written consent.
  9. Natural tails and dewclaws. Puppies are placed with natural tails and dewclaws intact.
  10. Governing law. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Montana.
