What We Breed For

Our goal is balance

No one feature earns a dog a place in our program by itself. A beautiful face cannot make up for a temperament we would not want to live with. Tiny size cannot make up for poor structure. An impressive pedigree matters only when the dog in front of us carries forward qualities worth preserving.

Face & Expression

Big expressive eyes, small well-placed ears, a shorter refined muzzle and a balanced head. A short nose alone does not create a doll face — it is the balance of the entire head and expression.

Structure

Beauty has to have a sound foundation. Balanced bodies, good movement, correct proportions, and dogs that are physically comfortable doing normal dog things.

Size

We love refined smaller Yorkies, but never at the expense of the dog. We make thoughtful estimates as a puppy develops — no responsible breeder can guarantee an exact adult weight.

Coat & Color

A silky coat and rich color are part of the Yorkie's charm, but coat is never worth sacrificing health, structure or temperament.

Temperament

The dog that follows you from room to room, watches your face and seems happiest simply because it is with you. Intelligence, connection and willingness matter as much as anything we can measure.

Pedigree

Why European lines
matter to us

Several of our dogs come from accomplished European pedigrees, and Tati and Enzo were imported from overseas. Looking beyond the United States gives us access to families of Yorkies developed for generations around traits we especially value: refined head type, expressive eyes, compact balance, rich pigment, beautiful coat, and pedigree depth.

When we look at a pedigree we are not looking for one famous name. We want to see generations of dogs whose qualities make sense together. An import is not automatically better — it has to be the right dog.

Colors of the Breed

Traditional steel blue and tan, golden blonde, chocolate and parti. The coat a Yorkie is born with is rarely the coat it grows into — most darken, then clear and soften over the first two years.

We place very few puppies each year, and we choose their families carefully. If a Yorkie is right for you, we would love to hear who you are and what daily life looks like.
